The picture, which surfaced online today, December 23, quickly stirred conversations on social media, with some users speculating that 2Baba and Annie may be back together.
The renewed attention also follows a recent change on Annie Idibia’s social media pages. The actress had earlier updated her Instagram name to Annie Idibia. This move fueled speculation about her relationship with the singer.
The speculation comes amid ongoing public attention around 2Baba’s troubled relationship with his current wife, Edo State lawmaker Natasha Irobosa.
Reacting to the post, Nasboi distanced himself from the rumours, blaming blogs for fuelling unnecessary narratives. Quoting a blog on X (formerly Twitter) that shared the photo, he wrote: “This blog dem really be evil people sha.”
Nasboi had earlier expressed concern over the singer’s situation. During the height of the online drama involving 2Baba and Natasha, the skit maker wrote on X: “I feel very heartbroken every time I see 2Baba in all this mess.”
The photo has now reignited debate, with many social media users reading meanings into what was likely a casual meeting. While some fans speculated about a possible reunion between the former couple, others criticised blogs for dragging the singer’s private life further into public scrutiny.
This new development comes weeks after 2Baba publicly addressed the controversy surrounding his family life. In a video shared online, the singer appealed for calm and asked fans to stop spreading the issue, warning that the situation was becoming dangerous.
“This is getting out of hands, and this is a dangerous situation right now. I know what fans can do. I am perfectly okay. And this is putting Natasha at risk,” he said, adding that the matter would be resolved internally.
The controversy began after videos surfaced online showing 2Baba in a heated argument with Natasha. The situation escalated further during a TikTok Live session hosted by Daddy Freeze, where both parties reportedly clashed again.
Kaka Igbokwe, former manager of 2Baba, later confirmed during the live session that the altercation occurred. He explained that the disagreement started after Natasha felt abandoned at an airport in London when 2Baba went off with fans. According to him, the situation degenerated when the singer returned to meet her upset, leading to his arrest and handcuffing.
The couple had welcomed a child earlier this year, weeks before their disagreements became a subject of online debate.
Before his marriage to Natasha, 2Baba was married to actress Annie Idibia. Their relationship, which spanned over a decade, was marked by public ups and downs. The couple share two daughters together and officially separated in 2024 after years of reported marital strain.
So far, neither 2Baba nor Annie Idibia has commented on the viral photo or the speculation it has generated.

The actress made the announcement on her verified Instagram page, revealing that her daughter “insisted her puppy must be at the signing,” adding a light-hearted touch to the milestone moment.

Mercy Johnson stated that she and her teenage daughter are officially brand ambassadors for Girlstag.ng, describing the collaboration as deeply personal and meaningful.
According to her, as a mother of teenage girls, she understood the importance of providing products that make menstruation “easier, more comfortable, and a lot less stressful.”
