In a video that has gone viral on TikTok, the soldier, identified by the username @Oliver, revealed that he withdraws ₦7,100 every day a habit that eventually caught the attention of a security guard.
According to the soldier, the guard once asked him why he made daily withdrawals instead of withdrawing enough money to last several days.
In response, the soldier explained:
“This account is linked to my mum’s phone number. Every time I withdraw money, she receives a message. That’s how she knows her son is alive.”
The heartfelt revelation has melted hearts online, with many praising the mother’s love and concern for her son’s safety.
Social media users described the story as a beautiful reminder of how mothers go the extra mile to watch over their children, regardless of distance. Others offered prayers for the soldier’s safety and well-being.
Though simple, the act speaks volumes proving how that love and care don’t always require grand gestures; sometimes, it’s the small, consistent actions that matter most.
