Notorious bandit leader, Bello Turji reportedly raid Sokoto villages, sack residnts

Wanted notorious bandit leader, Bello Turji has reportedly attacked villages in Sokoto State, sacking residents from their ancestral homes.

Reports indicate that Turji and his men raided the Tidibale village in Isa Local Government Area, LGA of the state on Sunday night.

A security expert and journalist Bakatsine @DanKatsina50 said in a post on X that the terrorists invaded the village at night and asked residents to vacate the village within 24 hours.

In a video clip he posted, residents could be seen departing the village with their luggages.

According to him, another popular village, Bargaja in Isa LGA, “was targeted days ago, in line with Turji’s stated intention to dominate much of the district”.
