Valverde Hospitalised After Dressing Room Row With Real Madrid Teammate Tchouameni

Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde was taken to the hospital with a head injury following a dressing room altercation with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni, just three days before Sunday’s crucial El Clásico against Barcelona. Valverde denied the pair “came to blows,” saying the injury occurred when he “accidentally hit a table.”

The club confirmed Valverde has been diagnosed with cranioencephalic trauma (concussion) and will rest for 10 to 14 days. Real Madrid has opened disciplinary proceedings against both players. Real sit 11 points behind Barcelona in La Liga with four games remaining.
