A viral video of late Afrobeat singer Destiny Boy has sparked outrage online after reports emerged that his burial was allegedly suspended due to attempts to remove his gold teeth.
In the footage, a voice explains that the body was taken to the mortuary and preparations to remove the gold began before embalming.
The reason for the act remains unclear, though social media users speculate it may relate to the value of the gold or unresolved issues with the singer’s belongings.
Fans condemned the action, urging that Destiny Boy be allowed to rest in peace with dignity, while remembering his contributions to Afrobeat music.

The couple reportedly separated quietly several years ago after the birth of their daughter. In a video posted on X, Mandy shared some of the challenges she claims to have faced while married to the comedian. She presented her story in a game-style format, asking viewers to raise or lower their fingers in response to the situations she described.
Mandy alleged that during an intimate moment, Mark abruptly pulled away, reportedly saying he was “feeling her body again” after she had given birth. She said she later made efforts to improve her appearance for him, but claimed he continued to make negative remarks about her body.
She also described instances where her husband allegedly criticized her cooking in front of friends, only to change his tune when those same friends were present.
In another revelation, Mandy said Mark once left the house around 4 a.m. to assist his ex-girlfriend, who she claimed was being abused by her partner. She also alleged that he once claimed to have a serious illness, although he remains healthy today.
Mandy further accused Mark of spending a night with another woman in their home while she remained in a separate room, claiming she could hear them and later saw them appearing flushed and sweaty. When confronted, she said he insisted the woman was “just a friend” and that they were merely talking.
