BREAKING NEWS: “Singer and Not a Gospel Artiste” Popular Nigeria Gospel Singer Sola Allyson Finally Reveals Why She Don’t Mention Jesus In Her Songs
Nigerian singer, Sola Allyson, has explained why her songs do not mention the name Jesus, a question many listeners have asked for years.....TAP TO CONTINUE READING
Naija News reports that she shared this during a new interview with Oyinmomo TV posted on YouTube on Friday.
In the interview, Allyson said she has always introduced herself as a singer and not a gospel artiste.
She said that people often give her that label because of the calm and deep message in her songs, but she has never described her music that way.
According to her, she sings from the heart and from personal experience, not from a place of trying to belong to any group.
She went on to say that she does not mention Jesus in her songs because she believes her work should not depend on calling His name to gain attention.
She explained that her songs are meant to inspire, guide, and comfort people, and she believes God can use her voice without her repeating certain names.
Allyson added that she focuses on singing about truth, life, and personal growth.
She said her goal is to help people feel peace, think deeply, and turn to God in their own way.
The singer also said that her music remains the same because she wants her message to be honest and free from pressure.
She said her listeners understand her path, and her songs continue to reach people from different backgrounds because they connect to the emotion and wisdom in her words.
She said, “I don’t sing religious songs. As I am like this, I don’t call myself a gospel artiste. My name is Sola Allyson. I am a singer.
“Jesus didn’t say we should be mentioning His name. He didn’t say we should use His name for PR.”
