Two Premier League clubs, Wolves and Southampton have sacked their managers.
Wolves parted company with their manager Gary O’Neil and his backroom staff on Sunday afternoon.
O’Neil was sacked after Wolves’ Premier League 2-1 defeat against Ipswich Town at home on Saturday.
Reacting, Wolves Chairman, Jeff Shi said: “We’re very grateful to Gary for all of his effort, dedication and hard work during his time at the club, and we wish him and his team the best of luck for the future.”
O’Neil arrived at Molineux just three days before the start of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
Meanwhile, Southampton sacked their manager, Russell Martin on Sunday night after a 5-0 thrashing by Tottenham Hotspur.
Martin guided the Saints to promotion last year in his first season in charge.
But the defeat against Spurs at home was Southampton’s 13th in the league this season from 16 games.
Southampton’s only win this campaign was against Everton in November.
They currently occupy the bottom position on the Premier League table.
