Former Minister of Police Affairs, Jelili Adesiyan, also known as Jalo, has dismissed allegations that he was involved in the assassination of former Minister of Justice, Bola Ige.....TAP TO CONTINUE READING

Speaking during an appearance on Edmund Obilo’s podcast, State Affairs, he disclosed that after the assassination of Bola Ige, he was apprehended and locked up in a dungeon cell.

He said his innocence led to his eventual discharge and acquittal by the courts after being made to pass through trauma.

Adesiyan, who was Minister during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, said God should destroy him and his family if he was involved in the assassination of Ige on December 23, 2001, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

He said: ‘I’m Jalo, and I fear nobody up till today, I pray to God, and each time I’m praying, I start by saying if I ever knew anything about the death of Uncle Bola or anybody for that matter, I will not come out of this alive.

“The theory was that when they removed his cap, he has been molested and killed spiritually, so they went and completed the thing physically in Ibadan, they are stupid and they will all suffer before we leave this earth.

“Anybody who has hands in the death of Uncle Bola that made people like me to suffer will suffer and those who still believe in that theory will suffer too.

“On December 2023, 2001, Bola Ige was assassinated and they arrested us and took us to Alagbon where we saw hell. We were locked up in a dungeon cell without light and I’m having problems with my eyes up till today because of that trauma.

“If I know anything about Uncle Bola’s death or if I have any inclination, plan or I was where they started murmuring it where I’m sitting, I pray to God to strike me, destroy my wife, destroy my children, destroy everything I stand for.”

Prove I took N50bn from Tinubu, Makinde tells Fayose

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has challenged a former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, to provide evidence to support his claim that he (Makinde) received N50bn from President Bola Tinubu following the January 2024 Ibadan explosion.....TAP TO CONTINUE READING

Makinde had, in January 2024, visited Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to submit a report on the explosion, which claimed five lives, injured 77 persons and destroyed about 55 houses in Ibadan, the state capital.

However, Fayose, during an interview on TVC on Friday, alleged that Makinde received N50bn from the Presidency to manage the aftermath of the incident, claiming that the funds did not go directly into the coffers of the state government.

The allegation was further echoed by Fayose’s former aide, Lere Olayinka, who claimed on Facebook that although Makinde received N50bn, only N4.5bn was released to victims of the explosion.

“Ibadan Gomina General got N50bn from Tinubu’s govt, only to release N4.5bn to victims of Ibadan explosion of January 2024,” Olayinka wrote.

Reacting in an interview with Sunday PUNCH, Makinde’s Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, dismissed the claims as baseless and challenged Fayose and his allies to substantiate them with evidence.

“There is no substance to the claim. If he (Fayose) has proof that the Federal Government gave N50bn, he should provide it. It is not just about going on air to say rubbish,” Olarenwaju said.

“If he has evidence, he should come forward with it. I don’t think we should waste time on these guys,” he added.

The state government maintained that all actions taken by the Makinde administration in response to the explosion were transparent and aimed at supporting victims and restoring affected communities.

ISIS Was Not an Accident — Gumi Reveals Who He Says Created It and Why It Backfired

According to our report, Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has alleged that the rise of ISIS was a calculated project driven by powerful international intelligence interests, not a random extremist movement.....TAP TO CONTINUE READING

In a statement shared on his official Facebook page, Gumi described the group as a strategic tool designed to destabilize Muslim societies from within. A detailed explanation of why people dream about writing exams or returning to school or eating, crying, seeing snakes has been published on NewsVista.

He argued that ISIS serves a double agenda by drawing in violent radicals and redirecting their destruction toward Muslim communities, while creating the illusion that Western nations are protected from an Islamic threat. Gumi insisted that those behind the strategy misjudged Islam itself, stressing that the faith continues to spread globally through justice, monotheism, and peaceful coexistence, not violence.

He maintained that extremist brutality contradicts Islam’s core teachings and has only fueled misconceptions. Gumi’s comments come amid renewed counterterrorism operations across Africa, including Nigeria’s North-West, where ISIS-linked groups remain active despite global setbacks.
