Speeding Vehicle Leaves One Dead, Several Injured in Chitipa

A 40-year-old man, Owen Silumbu, has died following a vehicle accident in the Misuku Hills area of Chitipa District.

Chitipa Police Station spokesperson, Gladwell Simwaka, confirmed the accident, stating that the incident occurred on 28 October 2025 at approximately 10:30 pm in the Kalenge area along the Kapoka–Misuku Road.

Simwaka said the driver of the motor vehicle a Toyota Hilux pickup was transporting seven passengers from Misuku Trading Centre to Kapoka.
