IGP Disu Appoints Anietie Iniedu as New Force PRO

The Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, has appointed Anietie Iniedu as the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigeria Police Force. Iniedu’s appointment was announced in a statement on Friday by outgoing spokesman Anthony Placid, who was only appointed to the position in March 2026. Iniedu, a native of Etinan LGA in Akwa Ibom State, holds a B.Sc. in Pure Chemistry from the University of Uyo. Before his appointment, he was Head of the Complaint Response Unit at Force Headquarters. The IGP expressed confidence in Iniedu’s capacity to lead the Force Public Relations Department.
