Ibrahim Abdulkarim, a political aide to Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi, has reacted to remarks made by former Borno State Governor Ali Modu Sheriff concerning Obi’s chances in the 2027 presidential election.
Sherrif claimed that voters from the Northern part of the country would not support Obi because of his actions while serving as Anambra governor.
The former Borno governor accused Obi of chasing Northerners out of Anambra during his time as governor.
Reacting on social media, Abdulkarim rejected Sheriff’s argument, saying attempts to use ethnic issues against Obi would not affect his chances in the next election.
