The family of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has disowned a letter circulating on social media purportedly signed by him and addressed to the African Democratic Congress leadership, describing it as fake and a “primitive politics” attempt to sow confusion.

In a statement issued by his son, Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, the family said the document titled “Urgent Message” dated July 14, 2026, did not originate from the former governor.

The family insisted that neither the content nor the handwriting in the document belonged to El-Rufai. The alleged letter had raised concerns over the ADC governorship nomination in Kaduna State. The family urged the public to disregard it.
