ADC ‘Denied’ Use of Eagle Square, MKO Abiola Stadium for National Convention

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) says it was denied access to both Eagle Square and the Moshood Abiola National Stadium for its national convention scheduled for April 14 in Abuja. Kola Ologbodiyan said the party wrote to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for Eagle Square but received no official response.

The sports ministry also declined the request for the velodrome. Several private event centres reportedly turned down the party over fears of government backlash. The convention will now be held at the Rainbow Event Center.
