AFCON: ‘They’re solid’ – Oliseh snubs Nigeria, names most tactical team in Africa

Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh has snubbed Nigeria as he named Morocco as the most tactical team in Africa at the moment.

Oliseh was giving his verdict on Morocco’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, semi-final tie against Nigeria on Wednesday.

The former Juventus midfielder described the Atlas Lions as a solid team, adding that the host nation is as good as the Super Eagles.

“This [Morocco’s team] is the best team we are meeting so far,” Oliseh said on the Global Football Insights podcast.

“This is the most tactical team in Africa at the moment, for sure. So we are not just playing a team that is as solid as us, we are meeting a team that is almost as good as we are.”

Morocco heads to the Nigeria game after beating Cameroon 2-0, while the Super Eagles also defeated Algeria 2-0.
