If You Delay, You Will Not Hear My Voice Again – Rev Dachomo Sends Warning To Trump

Outspoken Plateau clergyman, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has pleaded with the President of America, Donald Trump, not to delay in intervening in the security crisis in some parts of Nigeria.
Speaking via Facebook on Thursday, the cleric alleged moves to silence him, citing the disabling of his page.
The cleric warned Trump to come quickly, or he would stop hearing his voice...TAP TO CONTINUE FULL READING.
He said, “My message to President Donald Trump is, please don’t relent, come quickly before they finish us.
“If you delay, you will not hear my voice anymore, because these people have finished with my Facebook account, they blocked it.
“Come quickly, you are not going to save us alone as Christians, my fellow Muslim brothers are in pain, save Nigeria.”
Meanwhile, in a renewed call for community vigilance, Dachomo has urged Christian youths in crisis-prone areas to take steps to defend themselves against possible attacks.
Naija News reports that Dachomo’s message comes as residents continue to recall the December 2023 massacre, where over 200 people were killed in coordinated assaults across 17 rural communities in Bokkos and Barkin Ladi LGAs between December 23 and 25 by armed men suspected to be Fulani militias.
Dachomo, in a new video, declared that self-defence had become necessary due to what he described as the failure of the government and security agencies to protect vulnerable communities.
“All youths, this is a command, not advice. I’m commanding you to wake up and defend the weak old people, women who are pregnant, defend the widows, and stand with their blood to defend the land,” the Cleric reportedly said.
The outspoken cleric stressed that his call followed repeated unheeded warnings, including a recent alert issued two weeks earlier, in which he claimed to have credible information about planned attacks on Christian communities during the Christmas season.
Dachomo reiterated his position that the violence in Plateau State amounted to what he has consistently referred to as an “ongoing Christian genocide” and a campaign of land occupation. He said many innocent people, including members of his own congregation, had been killed in the unrest.
According to him, youths in rural areas, especially in Bokkos, Barkin Ladi, Riyom, Bassa, and Mangu LGAs, must be ready to defend their communities in the absence of adequate state protection.
The cleric further urged residents to combine prayers with practical measures by organising vigilante structures and ensuring round-the-clock community security.
“Yes, praying against attacks is good, but beyond that, there should be practical involvement in self-defense, even joining a local civilian-watch organization,” he added.

New CBN BVN Rules: 5 Things Nigerians Must Know From May 1

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has introduced new Bank Verification Number (BVN) rules effective from May 1, 2026, aimed at reducing fraud, especially SIM swap and identity theft cases. The regulations include stricter controls on phone number changes, age restrictions, device limits, and temporary account restrictions for suspicious activities. Here is a simple breakdown of what you need to know.
One phone number change in a lifetime – Customers can only change the phone number linked to their BVN once. Choose carefully.
24-hour watchlist for suspicious BVNs – Banks can temporarily restrict accounts flagged for suspicious activity while investigations are conducted.
BVN registration is now for adults only – Only individuals aged 18 and above can independently register for a BVN. Minors require guardian-linked arrangements.
One device per banking app – You can only use your banking app on one device at a time. Switching devices triggers a 24-hour transaction limit of N20,000.
Authorised channels only – BVN services are now limited to CBN-approved banks and financial institutions. Avoid third-party apps or unofficial agents.
The new rules may feel strict, but they are designed to protect your money and reduce fraud. Be more careful with your phone number, devices, and banking activities to avoid unnecessary restrictions...TAP TO CONTINUE FULL READING.
