‘I’m not Sophia who negotiated child support, you can’t intimidate us’ — Anu’s mum fires back at Davido’s dad

Ayo Labinjoh, the mother of the teenager who recently claimed to be the daughter of Davido, has reacted to the intervention of the singer’s father in the ongoing paternity dispute.
On Wednesday, Adedeji Adeleke, Davido’s father, dismissed the claim, insisting that the teenage girl Anu Adeleke is not his grandchild.
He maintained that five DNA tests conducted between 2015 and 2020 at facilities that sent samples to South Africa all returned the same result, showing a 0.00% probability of paternity.
Adeleke also alleged that Anu’s aunt informed him in a private message that the teenager’s Instagram account is being run by journalist Kemi Olunloyo, adding that the family has since cut ties with her and asked her to stop posting on the page.
“I’m not sure if it’s legal to impersonate a minor. Kemi Olunloyo has been after Davido for many years, always saying negative things about him and portraying him in a bad light. The sister of Anu’s mum has been in communication with me,” he said.
“When all this happened, she sent me a message saying that Anu’s account is being run by Kemi Olunloyo, whom they have cut ties with.”
Reacting via Instagram, Labinjoh expressed shock to claims that Titi, her sister, was in contact with Adeleke. She also denied that her sister acted on the family’s behalf or received any money for the family.
She dismissed claims that Olunloyo currently controls Anu’s social media pages, explaining that although Olunloyo helped open the account, it was handed over to the family years ago.
Labinjoh added that Olunloyo only assisted with public relations during their first appeal in 2018 and that they are no longer in contact.
“To my shock my own sister Titi Labinjoh reportedly has been talking to Dr Deji Adeleke since the pandemic about what? Titi called here last week from Abuja telling our mom that she’s scared about the media attention Anu is getting and that her coworkers keep bothering her,” she wrote.
“Our mom said she should ignore it as Anu’s story does not belong as gossip on her office. What about Anu who has to endure everything? Titilayo my only sister singlehandedly raised alongside me by our mom went to the oppressors to collect money? How? Matthew 10:36.
“We are shocked they said she has been talking to them since 2020. Did you also give my number to David?
“YES!! Dr Kemi opened this page and took photos online, those she took with Anu and some I posted myself. She handed the page to us in 2019. The gap is there. I’m not a social media user and I didn’t post for 4 years.
“In 2023, I started to post on her 10th birthday photoshoot and I’ve logged on from many locations. I no longer live in Ibadan. Anu lives with my mom. I’m a trader by profession and buy my goods from border countries.
“There was no time Titi told Dr Kemi to stop posting about Anu. They don’t have each others contact nor talk. My mom Mrs Ropo Labinjo also posts some of Anu’s videos. We are not in touch with Dr Kemi even though she posts about us.
“She held a press conference and did public relations for us during our 2018 appeal.”
Labinjoh slammed Adeleke for speaking on Davido’s behalf, insisting that the singer should address her directly.
She accused the Adeleke family of intimidation, manipulation, and abuse of power, while denying that any additional DNA tests were conducted in 2020. She also demanded that the original test results be made public.
She warned that any harm to her, her daughter, or her mother would be the family’s responsibility.
“SIR, as the Patriach of the family you should not be talking on David’s behalf. I’m not Sophia negotiating child support. Let David address me,” she added.
“Your power and money is being abused here. David is obviously a boy and not a man. It took money for you to use a family member of ours to spy on us.
“If anything happens to me, my daughter and mom, the police should hold you responsible. Anu and I never met with you in 2020 for 4 additional DNA tests.
“I have not seen BRed since the night when they dined at my place of work GQ club in Ibadan February 2013. Anu has never met BRed, Dr Kemi suspected I may have also slept with him as she asked me in my detailed interview which is now floating around. Post the tests sir.”
The controversy began when Anu posted an open letter on Instagram stating she had been severely bullied due to an unresolved paternity claim.
She asked Davido, born David Adeleke, to take a DNA test to establish her identity.
In his response, the singer denied the allegation, arguing that five separate DNA tests had already been conducted.

Ilebaye’s Father Claims She Assaulted Him First: ‘I Acted Out of Frustration’

Hon. Godson Odiniya, father of BBNaija Season 8 winner Ilebaye Odiniya, has continued to open up on the alleged physical altercation between him and the reality star, claiming he acted out of frustration while trying to correct her. In a viral audio recording, he alleged that Ilebaye assaulted him with an AC hanger and broke an electric lantern on his head.
He claimed she became difficult to advise after winning BBNaija and that he hit her “out of provocation to scold her because I can’t watch her destroy her life.” He also made comments about her cosmetic surgery, saying, “Anything that touches her becomes so big.”
Key Points:
The father now claims self-defence, shifting blame from the assault video seen by millions.
His comments about her body and surgery add a disturbing layer of body shaming to the abuse.
Claiming a child assaulted him first is a common tactic used to justify parental violence.
The public remains deeply skeptical, with many pointing out the power imbalance between father and daughter.
The timing of these multiple statements suggests an organised effort to control the public narrative.

Ilebaye’s Father Breaks silence after Assault on Daughter: ‘I Contributed 75% to her BBN Win’

Hon. Emmanuel Godson Odiniya, father of former Big Brother Naija winner Ilebaye Odiniya, has spoken out following the dispute that led to the physical assault of his daughter.
In an emotional audio statement, the Kogi politician claimed he contributed “well over 75%” to her 2023 victory using his political connections and relationships across Nigeria and abroad. He alleged that governors, colleagues, and supporters from Kogi State donated money to keep her in the competition.
The politician expressed disappointment over what he described as a lack of appreciation after her victory, saying she stopped listening to him and rarely gave him audience.
Key Points:
The father’s attempt to justify the assault by citing his financial contributions is being rejected by Nigerians.
His claim of 75% responsibility for her victory dismisses the millions of fans who actually voted for Ilebaye.
The father’s expectation of “returns” from his daughter’s fame suggests he views her success as an investment.
This case mirrors other celebrity family disputes where parents feel entitled to control adult children’s lives.
The timing of his statement, while reportedly receiving treatment for injuries, appears designed to shift public sympathy.

Kunle Remi Fires Shot at Entourages Crowding Stage with AMVCA Winners

Nigerian actor Kunle Remi has fired a shot at entourages who go on stage to celebrate with winners at the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA). In an Instagram story shortly after the ceremony at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, Remi congratulated the night’s winners before addressing the growing trend. “Please stop crowding the stage with the winners… let them shine.
Let them own and feel the moment. Celebrate with them when they come off the stage,” he wrote. This is not the first time Remi has criticised the AMVCA, having previously spoken about his omission from nomination lists and the award presentation process.
Key Points:
Winners deserve their moment of individual recognition without being overshadowed by large entourages.
The tradition of crowding the stage may diminish the emotional impact of receiving an award.
Remi’s comments reflect growing public fatigue with overproduced award ceremony moments.
Other actors may now speak out about similar frustrations with award show traditions.
The timing of his critique, immediately after the ceremony, keeps the conversation about AMVCA standards alive.
