NANS Launches 90‑Day Nationwide Review of TETFund Projects Over Abandonment, Poor Execution

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has launched a 90‑day nationwide review of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) projects following concerns over project abandonment, poor execution, delayed completion, and substandard delivery.

A committee will tour universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education to verify project status and assess impact on teaching and student welfare. Findings and recommendations will be submitted to the Presidency and the Federal Ministry of Education.

Key Points:

Students are taking direct action to hold government and contractors accountable for wasted public funds.
Abandoned or poorly executed projects directly affect the quality of education and student learning environments.
The review could expose systemic corruption or mismanagement in TETFund project allocations.
NANS’ independent verification may pressure institutions and contractors to improve project delivery.
Recommendations could lead to policy changes in how TETFund projects are monitored and funded.

The committee will submit its report within 90 days, which will guide NANS’ engagement with relevant authorities.
