I Once Heard Gen Gowon Say Nigeria Would Not Survive A 2nd Civil War, And I Completely Agree–Obasanj
According to a report by Daily Post on Thursday, July 2, 2026, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has warned that Nigeria may not be able to withstand another civil war, saying that several of the factors that led to the 1967–1970 conflict have yet to be addressed.
He made the remark on Wednesday while receiving a historical publication titled Asaba Massacre at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta.
