Breaking: Nasarawa Police Arrest Husband for Allegedly Beating Wife to Death Over Refusal to Cook

Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested 30-year-old Musbawu Amodu for allegedly beating his 20-year-old wife to death after she reportedly refused to cook at their home in Agyaragu, Obi Local Government Area.​

Police Public Relations Officer SP Ramhan Nansel said the suspect was arrested following a complaint that he assaulted his wife, who later succumbed to her injuries. During interrogation, Amodu confessed to attacking his wife in a fit of anger after she allegedly declined to prepare a meal. The couple had been married for six years and had two children. Commissioner of Police Shettima Jauro Mohammed has ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Lafia for thorough investigation, assuring the public that justice would be served and the suspect prosecuted.
