The Osun State Government has filed a lawsuit against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the freezing of its statutory allocation account.
In the suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1762/2026, filed on August 5 before the Federal High Court in Abuja, the plaintiffs are asking the court to nullify the anti-graft agency’s directive and award N2 billion as exemplary damages.
Governor Ademola Adeleke, the Attorney-General of Osun, and the Accountant-General of the state are the plaintiffs, while the EFCC, its chairman, and First Bank are listed as defendants.
