The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority has threatened to suspend the operations of Royal Air Maroc in Nigeria over alleged persistent consumer protection violations, including poor baggage handling and refusal to attend regulatory meetings.
NCAA Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection Michael Achimugu accused the Moroccan carrier of repeatedly failing to improve its treatment of Nigerian passengers despite previous sanctions.
He alleged the airline frequently fails to promptly inform passengers about delayed baggage, neglects to provide first-needs assistance, and only addresses complaints after the NCAA intervenes.
Achimugu also accused the airline’s country manager of disregarding invitations to meetings and showing “brazen disregard” for Nigerian authorities.
