A report that was published on the official X account of CHANNELS TV on July 6, 2026 has captured the moment the former governor of Borno state, Ali Modu Sheriff was speaking about the former governor of Kano state, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
He made the statement while speaking about the chances of the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi in the 2027 general elections.
In the report that surfaced online, Ali Modu Sheriff stated that the northerners won’t vote for Peter Obi in the 2027 elections. He said the people of Kano state have been telling Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso that they won’t support him because he agreed to become Peter Obi’s running mate.
According to Channels TV, the former governor of Borno state said that;
“This is what Kano people are telling Kwankwaso now that we always supported you and we will support you if you run for President. But we will not support you to go with Peter Obi”.
