Kehinde Akintola, a witness, has spoken about how bandits transported students after abducting them from a school in Ahoro-Esiele community, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, on May 16, 2026.
In an interview with News Central TV, Akintola said the bandits arrived at the school on motorcycles. She said they also seized motorcycles belonging to residents of the community and used them to carry some of the abducted children away.
Akintola stated that the bandits loaded some of the children into the boot of the school principal’s vehicle and drove them away. She said when the bandits reached a river bank, they removed the children from the vehicle and set it on fire
In Akintola’s words: “They chased after them and caught them. They came on motorcycles, not vehicles. Also, they took motorcycles of residents of the village and loaded the children.
They carried the principals vehicle and loaded the children inside the trunk.
