Arsenal have announced the signing of Greek winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge on a five-year deal, with the £34m fee making him the Belgian Pro League’s record departure.
The 24-year-old, formerly of Norwich City, scored 17 goals and provided 23 assists in 36 league appearances last season. Tzolis has been signed as a direct replacement for Leandro Trossard, who departed for Besiktas in a £17m deal.
Arsenal had identified Morgan Rogers as their top attacking target, but the England international completed a record £117m move to Chelsea. Tzolis will wear the No 17 shirt for the Gunners.
