National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, Rauf Aregbesola, has claimed that he governed Osun State for eight years without owning a personal house, saying he lived in a friend’s home throughout his two terms in office.
In a video circulating online, the former governor said: “I’m the first governor in Nigeria to govern a state for eight years without owning a house of my own.
I stayed in my friend’s house for eight years as governor in my fatherland.” Aregbesola served as Osun governor from 2010 to 2018 before becoming Minister of Interior under former President Muhammadu Buhari.
