Ukamaka Friday, a relative of one of the victims of the recent kidnapping attack along the border between the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Nasarawa State, has shared a heartbreaking account of the terrifying incident, revealing that she unknowingly watched as her husband was being fatally shot by the armed attackers.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News on Thursday, July 2, 2026, Friday emotionally recounted the events of the attack carried out by suspected kidnappers. Her testimony came as security agencies continue their investigation into the incident following the arrest of several suspects believed to be members of the kidnapping syndicate responsible for the attack.

According to her, she had sought safety inside a neighbour’s house when the gunmen invaded the area and began shooting. From her hiding place, she could see flashes coming from the attackers’ guns but had no idea that the bullets were hitting her husband.
