The founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has urged worshippers to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing participation in the electoral process as a civic responsibility.
Speaking during a sermon at Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State, Oyedepo said Christians should actively participate in determining who governs the country rather than remaining indifferent to political processes.
He stressed that citizens have a constitutional right to participate in governance through the ballot box, saying: “We are not passers-by in our nations. We are bona fide citizens of the nation, and we have a right to participate in who governs us.” The cleric, however, reiterated the church’s non-partisan stance, noting he had never personally campaigned for political office.
