2 Nigerians arrested for killing compatriot in Ghana over internet fraud

The Northern Regional Police Command has arrested two Nigerian nationals, Daniel Victor Eze and David Oko Ewa, for the murder of their housemate, 36-year-old Nkemujika Uzorchuku Eze.

The victimโ€™s body was found on Saturday, 11th July 2026, in their shared apartment at Sanzirigu, Tamale, with a deep cut on his forehead and a towel stuffed in his mouth.

A wooden pestle believed to be the murder weapon was recovered.
The suspects were arrested the same day at Tatale while attempting to flee to Togo. They allegedly confessed to killing him over withheld internet fraud proceeds.

Police recovered multiple mobile phones, laptops, jewellery, and other valuables stolen from the deceased.
The suspects are in custody and will be arraigned in court today, Monday, 13th July 2026.
