Defending Champions Remo Stars Relegated From NPFL

Defending NPFL champions Remo Stars have been relegated from the Nigeria Professional Football League after managing only a draw against Bendel Insurance on the final day.

They become the first NPFL champions to be relegated during their title defence. Meanwhile, Rangers International of Enugu defeated Ikorodu City 2‑1 to win their ninth league title, equalling Enyimba’s record. Rangers finish with 68 points, one ahead of Rivers United.
