Court Explains Why It Voided NDC Registration, Declares Party Must Return to Pre-Judgment Status

The Federal High Court in Lokoja has overturned its earlier decision that compelled the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to register the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) as a political party, stating that the previous ruling was made without involving a party whose rights were directly affected. Justice Isah Dashen, while delivering the judgment on Friday, June 26, 2026, ruled that the December 10, 2025 decision could not remain valid because it had an impact on the interests of the Peace Movement.See the video & full news here.
