Malami Fights Back, Vows to Appeal Court’s Asset Forfeiture Order

Former Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami has challenged the Federal High Court’s decision ordering the final forfeiture of 48 properties linked to him, directing his legal team to immediately file an appeal.​

Malami, through his media aide Bello Doka, said he disagreed with aspects of the judgment but remains confident in the judiciary. “The appellate process exists to ensure that every legal issue is thoroughly examined, and Mr. Malami is confident that justice will ultimately prevail,” the statement read. He urged Nigerians to avoid concluding while the judicial process continues, reaffirming his respect for the rule of law and commitment to public service.
