Kwankwaso’s Movement Dismisses Exit Rumours, Says NDC Crisis Reports False

The Kwankwasiyya Movement has dismissed reports that its leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, is planning to leave the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) over disagreements on the party’s candidates list. Spokesman Habeeb Saleh Mohammed said the claims are false and unfounded, insisting that Kwankwaso has never discussed leaving the party.

The reported disagreement stemmed from moves to enforce a 60/40 power‑sharing formula, but the movement said it followed due process in conducting primaries in line with INEC’s timetable.

Key Points:

The denial aims to calm internal tensions and prevent a damaging split before 2027.
A 60/40 power‑sharing formula can cause friction between merging political blocs.
False exit rumours could weaken the NDC’s credibility and voter confidence.
Kwankwaso’s continued presence in the NDC keeps the Obi‑Kwankwaso ticket intact.
The movement insists its primaries were successful and without complaints.

Kwankwaso and his supporters remain committed to the NDC, and the movement urges the public to disregard social media rumours.
